MsJessy,
Relapse is common, perhaps even inevitable. Experts
urge people not to be derailed by it but to think of it as an integral part of
the change process. You learn something about yourself each time you relapse.
For example, you may find that the strategy you adopted didn’t fit into your
life or suit your priorities. Next time, you can use what you learned, adjust,
and be a little ahead of the game as you continue on the pathway to change. Whether you have had just a couple of good days or weeks, to months it is normal to have anxiety creep back in. If your on meds you will find you have really good days and than out of the blue your feeling anxious again.
Don't try to stop the anxiety, instead let it move through you and practice your past techniques that have helped you get through the day while experiencing anxiety.
I have days where I can be fine for a while and bang, there is anxiety. I usually cry when I am really anxious and than wash my face with cold water and start my days or evening over..................
You are in good company here so do stick with us as we are here for you.
