Hey Anxious and Happy Birthday!!!
I am sorry to be so late in responding...this weekend has been a busy one!
I am glad to hear that you are making some progress and that you made it to most of your classes.:)
You should feel proud of that and feel good about
the small steps, because they do lead to big changes eventually.
Can you pinpoint the thing(s) that are adding most to your depression and anxiety? Identifying these things and starting to take the steps to work in a more positive direction is something that I hope you can do. You are absolutely right that we can only go forward with hope for good things in our futures.
You are 21 and have your whole life ahead of you. I know that can be overwhelming at times...but it is also an awesome gift!
Can you look into trying/upping your coping skills at this time? Have you looked into the site Moodgym in our Resources? It could help you to turn some of the negative thoughts around, and get started towards brighter days.
https://moodgym.anu.edu.au/welcomeI wish for you great things! They can happen, and I have faith that you have the strength and wisdom to go after them.:)
Birthday high fives, friend!
