I've felt like I was coming down with a cold for a few days now, but today is the first day it's become a full blown cold. I have horrible sinus pain/pressure, swollen and painful lymph nodes, a runny nose, a cough, everything. Even my teeth ache.
I'm afraid to take medicine because I have an irrational fear of having an allergic reaction, but I finally couldn't take it anymore and used a nasal spray. I know I would feel even better if I just took some more medicine, but I can't, and I'm really suffering. I haven't been sick like this in years and I have no idea how to handle it. I definitely feel like a baby.
I just want to get better, but with colds all you can do is wait it out unfortunately. I'm so scared I'm going to develop some kind of secondary infection, because the last time I had a cold it turned into bronchitis and I popped some of my ribs from coughing. The cough lasted for months.
Does anyone have any remedies for me to try or any words to just help me relax and recover from this? I don't know how much more I can take.
