Hey all just wanted to get a few opinions. I recently (close to 2 weeks ago) switched to the generic form of Effexor xr and have found it to not be the same.
I wake up in the morning with a paralyzing fear thats not usual for me, and have been having that foggy anxious feeling again through-out the day! I've read some place that the release timing is different in the generic!

Should I stick it out the full month w/ the generic or switch back? Any input would be nice! Thanks!

I would give it more time. I started on it 8 weeks ago. the anxiety insomnia and sweats were really bad the first month. Other than trouble staying asleep, the side effects are gone. Im on 150 mg

I have been taking XR since it came out (I forget when)   I have been taking Effexor since 1997.   I stopped it because I was doing well 9 months ago but realized 2 months ago, that I needed it.   It helps me a great deal with my CFS

The one I have now is made by Wyeth......It is not the beads but the effect is the same.

thanks. so it seems to be a good fit for you. I'm just concerned because I seemed to be doing better on the name brand when i bumped it up to 150mg but ever since I switched a few weeks ago I've been feeling crappy
