I'm with S.C. on this one.
about 4-5 weeks ago (heck, I've lost count now), Hubby brought a gift home from the office. A cold. Or a flu. Or a bug. Or whatever it was.
Mr. Healthy that he is, he knocked it to the curb within 24-36 hours.
Then, I came down with the symptoms. Silly me, thought it'd take as long. Four weeks later, I was still hucking up a lung, so to speak (aka: coughing so hard my back hurt)....my throat was sore,...
Then I'd have periods of feeling not too bad actually. Then I'd start coughing again and feel flu-ish.
It's pretty much gone now except for the occasional waking-up-in-the-middle-of-the-night and needing a Ricola cough drop.
So yep, sometimes things can just really enjoy our host body and decide to exceed our hospitality and stick around.
I think it can get dragged out not only if our immune systems are wonky, (professional term), but if we're anxiety prone, we're ultra-sensitive to everything.
Hang in there!
M.
