UNDERARM PAIN IN ONE ARM ONLY?

Hello, I'm new here. For about the past 2 hours I've had this dull ache in my right arm pit which is sending a bit of tingling down my arm. I'm 16 & I have Cerebral Palsy, so I'm hoping that all the pain is, is my muscles never being completely relaxed. I have fairly bad posture as I slouch in bed every day of the week ( I do school on the Internet ) So just now I've propped myself up with extra pillows - as I've found when I stand up it's not quite as bad.

Another thing to take into consideration - and that makes me incredibly anxious is that my Mum had Breast Cancer (she passed in '06) But I was told that she discovered a lump when she was 16. So I'm very shaky right now as that's a big possibility isn't it?

I've had this pain once before (about a month or two ago) and it's just gone away eventually. I've already been to be checked for BC once this year because I miss took growing pains in my breast for it. All my dad talked about afterward was how much of a waste of money the check up had been. He doesn't realize how much it put my mind at ease. He doesn't believe anxiety is a thing.

I want to go again but I have no one else other than my dad to go with. I told his just now about the pain and he just said to take some panadol - should I?

Being as young as you are and having been checked this year I think its safe to believe you are ok, Ultimately
the decision is yours. I am sorry about your loss, you can have a lot of comfort here and make a lot of
friends, read often many of our members have issues that they talk to eachother about. Peace

Welcome to HealingWell and my deepest sympathy at the death of your Mother.  You may want to verify if indeed your Mother had a lump in her breast at the age of 16 just for you own medical family history. I know this is a scary time, but, from what I have learned over the years,  it's virtually impossible for you  to have breast cancer at age 16; your  chance is less than 1 in a million. Yes, it's possible; just very improbable. I applaud you for advocating for yourself and don't stop. 

Without a Mom to guide you do you have another female person to go to for female issues that you are concerned about - an Aunt, sister or even your Dr. ?

I suspect your underarm pain was muscles strain or even nerve pain but I am glad to know it has gone away on it's own. Remember I am not a Dr. and cannot dx.

I have sharp pain under my left armpit. Very sharp pain in my left armpit. But it hasn't happen in a few weeks now. I was getting a lot lately. I honestly think it's either my nerve (since I have neck injury) or it was from severe anxiety from my day to day busy life. Nonetheless, you should always check with your doctor. But before you do that, don't sit there and worry like crazy because it's never good for you.

I do tell you this, since my neck injury I've had all sorts of crazy issues in my left side, left arm especially.

I'm a 30/yo male if that makes any difference.
