Women: Have you taken this? And what would you say about it did it help you are did it just add to your problems anybody other then women I need all advice that I can use on this.

Vistaril reduces activity in the central nervous system. It also acts as an antihistamine that reduces the natural chemical histamine in the body. Histamine can produce symptoms of sneezing and runny nose, or hives on the skin.

Vistaril is used as a sedative to treat anxiety and tension. It is also used together with other medications given for anesthesia. Hydroxyzine (Vistaril) may also be used to control nausea and vomiting.

I have had it for awhile but I do not really like the feeling of antihistamines.

Many people like it and find it helpful for the above.

I was on vistiril in the hospital because my anxiety was so bad. I was literally pulling off skin and making horrible marks in my head. I do remember it helping for that. I didn't take it long term though...so couldn't tell you for long term use.

I've been given it for sleep and anxiety. I can't say that it helps me sleep! I even took 75 mg and zip! Nada! No sleep! As to anxiety, I haven't had a real opportunity to try it during those times (thankfully!)

I take vistral and it works fine for me I am supposed to take 25mg four times a day but I only take it at night once in a while during the day.. Seems to work awesome for me
