Favorite Holiday Movie:
Wizard Of Oz cause I watched it with my parents growing up... for Xmas it's the old Animated Grinch for fave, even though it isn't a movie.
Favorite Song:
Rockin Around the Christmas Tree Or the whole Alvin and The Chipmunks Christmas Album ;)
Most satisfying feeling:
When my son falls asleep in my arms. Nothing can touch it.
Favorite Tradition:
Going on Xmas eve to look for lighted up houses, family tradition...knowing I'm keeping my parents traditions alive for my family.
Most Peaceful Moment:
Getting the kids asleep and staying awake on Xmas eve to watch the tree and listen to quiet holiday music.
Biggest indulgance:
Xmas Dinner when my mom makes her lasagna. x.x I tend to go overboard but it's worth it.
Best Wishes for a Happy, Safe and Anxiety free Holiday!

Tonight
I wrote my feelings in an email to my mom who was causing me distress- telling her I know she doesn't mean to make me feel this way so I thought I should be honest and let her know.
It was very freeing.
So much so that as I started all my meal prep for hosting Christmas Eve- and I was listening to my kind of music on Pandora Radio I actually has some smiles, did some dancing alone in the kitchen, had a few bittersweet memories of those who have passed on....but the important thing is that I was kind to myself and felt peace for the first time in this Christmas season.

Nice work WRA!!
Well done all around...from communicating effectively with your mom, to getting things done, having some fun, and 'feeling all the feels' as my daughters and I say!
I went grocery shopping for everything on mine and my mom's list and spent the afternoon there cooking/baking and helping her with her part of the big Christmas Eve party we have.
My youngest daughter was with me helping, and it is bittersweet seeing them together, as they are both, in my eyes, getting older than I am ready for either of them to be!!
Well, it is almost here...I hope that everyone is ready, and enjoys a peaceful holiday!!!

Favorite Holiday Movie:
Hrm, probably any made for TV movie on the Hallmark channel. I know I'm a sucker for cheesy Christmas movies!
Favorite Song:
Oh Holy Night
Most satisfying feeling:
Watching the kid enjoy the lights on the tree and watching us
open gifts, listening to the paper tearing and all the other interesting Christmas sounds.
Favorite Tradition:
Having a dinner party with close friends, cooking a big meal.
Most Peaceful Moment:
Putting the little pumpkin to bed after an exciting day.
Biggest Indulgence:
I buy myself Christmas gifts because I'm super picky and the worst person to shop for. Rather than disappoint myself and others giving me gifts (because They usually go unused in a drawer or re-gifted), I splurge on myself. This year I bought a fitbit and new running clothes.

I loved the "putting the little pumpkin" to bed part. My youngest pumpkin is 42 and my youngest granddaughter is 10 - no pumpkins

Baby's first Christmas, right? Congratulations!! :) That is so special!
Did you guys get an ornament that says 'Baby's First' and has the date on it? If not, you should go get one in an after Christmas sale!!
Good list!! Hope your holiday is/was awesome!!

:> Haha, yes waking up in the night is my least favorite part! We do have some baby first Christmas ornaments that my mom sent s, they're quite cute and we have them proudly hanging on our little Charley Brown tree.
Merry Christmas!

When I was just a wee little pumpkin, my Mother also had some of the "Baby's First Christmas" ornaments, and a picture book,....she put it away with my "Baby Book" (you know, with the lock of hair, your first tooth,-- only Mothers would save something that fell out of their child's head and think it's precious),...and it had all my first words and experience...
She gave me the books and belongings when I turned 16, and I have to tell you,...they're rather fun to look back through now!
Enjoy, you and the family, including the little pumpkin!
