New to Forum

I am new to this forum and I like many others am looking for support, advice, and willing to offer my experience and hope to others. I Have a Bipolar diagnosis, severe depression and newly diagnosis of Anxiety. I have tried 6 different medications in the past 6 weeks and have a severe side effects to all of yhem, (Cymbalta, Remron, Buspar, Geodon) I go again on the 7th to try once again. I also experienced hearing voices and uncontrollable anxiety while on Geodon. The Cymbalta made me sweat profusely. I was recently put on a beta blocker because I am having heart trouble, but it seems to be helping my anxiety. I hope to find the strength and support here on this sight that I cant always find from friends and family.

Welcome to the forum newbie! I have been procrastinating for almost a month now to register to this forum. I wanted to be at a point where I could offer my help without being a crying mess. I am hopeful that I will eventually find the medication that works for me. I know that there is no magical pill, but support and others experiences will help me along the way.

I am sorry to hear of your struggles to find an Rx that will work for you! Hopefull your upcoming appointment will get you closer to your goal.

You are showing a lot of patience and perserverance, and that will help you get through this process.

It is good that you are getting the secondary benefit of the beta blocker that you are taking. Many members here have had good experience with Buspar for their anxiety management..:)

Until you can discuss your next options with your doctor...there are a lot of self-help ideas in our Resources (main page, 1st post) that could help you find some peace. By practicing the recommended exercises daily, your anxiety levels and symptoms should lessen.

Hello! Welcome to the forum (-: May I ask what heart troubles you are having? Ive heard and read that certain anti depressants can cause the heart palpitations, Im sure we've all experienced at one time, and require those one anti depressants to use beta blockers. That's one of the things that are holding me back from starting back up on my Remeron. It worked great for me, until I started messing with the doses and stopped taking it in April. Also, what side effects did you have from the Remeron?! I didn't experience any except being extremely tired in the very beginning, that's all, then I started having heart palps that's the sole reason why I weaned off of it because Ive never had them until I was on it for almost a year and got really scared because they grew more intense! I recently had a really bad experience with Lexapro, now Im freaked out to really be on anything except my Xanax!
