Urgent care centers are a little different than the ER. They are not necessarily affiliated with a hospital, but could help you after hours or on a weekend/ holiday if need be.

Any luck at all with the exercises?

we don't have them over here
the exercises calm me down but doesn't stop the nausea
just had something to eat and now feel.like I'm going to throw it up
this is bs.I've had enough of it. it's ruining my life and gonna ruin Christmas
don't want to wake up in the morning, just want to sleep as that's only time I.don't feel sick

Just to refresh my memory...you have had a gastro work up...tried PPI's, been tested for h-pylori, ect?

If so, and all is clear...keep up with the exercises! They take time to work, and it is definitely a daily discipline and process that needs consistency.

I am wishing for you the symptom free holiday that you so much want, and should have!

I had an endoscopy few months said okay apart from slightly fatty liver
now when I eat I get stomach pains along with nausea
lots of gurgling as well just uncomfortable stomach cramps
I don't want to be sick for Christmas day with whole family there
read an article guy kept going to.doctors and they said he had ibs but turned out to be cancer bowel and dying

Try not to let that article that you read get to you.

For everyone one story like that, there are thousands more, where the person just had run of the mill IBS or GERD, or other benign issue.

Keep working on lowering the anxiety, and things will hopefully start to imporve quickly for you.:)

went to get hair cut today, even that struggle
thought was gonna throw up while he was doing it. felt dreadful
three days with family now which don't want at all
can't even watch tv without feeling sick. don't even want to leave the bedroom nevermind the house

survived Christmas day just about
had drink of alcohol and my stomach was.on.fire
then went away then for no reason it came back sweeping over ne, wasn't even anxious which is what worries me
throat keeps making gurgling noises
I hate feeling like this

Hi Craig

I think your hands look healthy, although I have no comparison to what they were before or what you believe they look like normally. It sounds however like you have a little bit of OCD about your hands, I have OCD, it flares up now and then and I can spend the entire weekend in a cleaning frenzy or I just obsess into the wee hours about unimportant things.

Have you tried any of the CBT exercises, they are good but you kind of have to stick with it. It's like working out, you can't expect to get results from just 1 day in the gym.

I've.done the breathing exercises
to me Joshua my hands are getting bonier, I can tell just by feeling and how they protrude

I still think that your joints look swollen. There is no pain, though?

I still think that a second opinion would be in order if you feel that something is physically wrong.

I am glad that you got through Christmas better than you expected.

struggling to cope. for about a hour earlier I was short of breath and struggling to breathe for no reason. then.it went this was while watching tv
now all of a sudden i feel really sick like i am going to be sick not like before it feels like it's in my throat
I am scared.I'm really ill.now and.gonna end up in.hospital

not slept properly for ages, know it sounds.pathetic but don't wanna go sleep and wake.up vomiting (nausea getting worse) or struggling to breathe

can't go outside anymore. my life is a joke

Hi Craig. I am sorry to read about what is going on with you. Anxiety can do horrible things to your mind and body. Sometimes it is hard to tell what is anxiety and what is reality, if that makes any sense. There are many antidepressants available if that is what you and your doctor decide is best. Sometimes it can take awhile to find the right one.
I get shortness of breath, pains in my chest, migraines, pains all over my body, and nausea. I've had this on and off for 15 years. I struggled in the beginning believing that there was nothing seriously wrong with me, and there are times I fall back to thinking something serious is wrong. I hope that you can find comfort knowing that you are not alone in this battle!

I don't like to go to sleep when nauseous either, for the same reason.:(

Are you taking your PPI or ant-acid?

Really sounds like a combination of GERD and anxiety could be causing these symptoms.

yeah pills for acid reflux

I've basically turned into a recluse. I couldn't go out new years eve as felt no only nauseous but also ill
don't leave the house no more, it's bad enough feeling sick in the house


my wasting seems to be getting worse too and feel like any minute.I'm.gonna throw up. just woke up 6am went.downstairs and felt sick already. a pathetic life
I keep getting told at least you're not sick as if that's.some consolation

I am sorry that you are continuing to feel unwell.

Are you able to work at this time?

Do you have any scheduled upcoming appointments with your doctor?

If you are unable to reduce your symptoms with medicine and the coping skills that you are doing...then I think that you need to go back in and aggresively look at finding what it going on, and what you can do to treat it.

I wish I could offer more help.:(

no no work
spent all day in bed exhausted.for some reason waking up sweating. had to drag myself up
felt sick while was eating, was struggle to eat it then now feel sick. I'm fearful I won't be able to eat without being sick...got doctors in few hours but nothing will be.done
am worried this is serious, cancer or something
can't carry on in bed all day

Let it all out at your doctors appointment and get the answers that you need.

If your doctor again insists that it is all anxiety related, ask for a referral to a psychiatrist.

This is a medical doctor (specializing in mental health issues) who can best tell you how you should proceed, whether you need medication, and basically how you can get your life and health back to where you need it to be.

Be persistant, so that you can get the help that you need. You can't keep going like this.;(

Can you take along someone to help advocate for you? Friend/family member?

I have had enough
woke.up eating breakfast felt sick
went to doctors changed my anti depressants told me to take anti nausea meds 3 x daily
got back home fell asleep for 6 hours
phone rang but too drowsy to answer. not normal needing that sleep
now it's nighttime and was talking to someone on phone
and felt that sick had to go. can't even talk now
so it's 1am and I feel ill like.I'm gonna throw up
and the wasting on hand is getting worse
I'm angry and scared

The change in your meds will require a couple of weeks to take effect, and show improvement.

I don't know about the anti-nausea, but I would give it a day or two.

I am sorry this is so hard.

Remember, it is within your rights to explore another opinion, or to ask for a referral to a specialist if you feel you need to.
