Hi,
How are you? I believe everyone is different when it comes to how drugs effect them, but here is how Zoloft has effected me. First time on it got better not cured but managable. I quite when I thought I was ok. about
ten months later horrible again started the zoloft and it is managable again. No weight loss or gain; I have lost about
60 pounds but have changed diet and started to exercise, so for my self esteem we are gonna say it was all me. I did not have any weight loss or gains the first time on it, so. As far as loss of sex drive, nope still want it. I have heard people say it is harder to climax(for lack of a better word). It has not been a problem for me(I am blushing now soooooo). I also didnt have a problem quiting it the first time. I did however have increased anxiety when I started to take it. So have the xanax ready it will help. All in all I like Zoloft, I wish there was something to get rid of this totally, but hey I will take what I can get and be thankfull. I hope this helps.

When I took Zoloft I lost weight at first and then I gained it back a few months later. My doctor said that it was normal.

While everyone reacts differently to medication I will tell you that Zoloft was a nightmare for me. I stopped taking it after a little over a month because it made me so depressed that nothing mattered anymore, irritable and angry to the point where I flipped out on people for no reason. I had more panic attacks on Zoloft than before meds and suffered constant headaches. You asked specifically about
weight. First Zoloft killed my appetite and I lost weight, then I got to the point where it made me feel like eating was, I don't know, wrong so I pretty much didn't eat while taking this.
I'm off the Zoloft now and doing better. It was not the right drug for me but everyone is different. Good luck

I lost 10 pounds within a week and a half. I play basketball so I did excercise on it, but it made me miserable and it made me lose interest in basketball and I ended up quitting for the season. I took this drug for 3 weeks and it made my life a living hell (I just stopped taking it today under my doctors permission) and I was only taking 20mg. It just wasn't for me, as I don't have depression with anxiety, only anxiety, but this medication MADE me depressed. I have absolutely no history of depression. I wouldn't reccomend it (not to scare you or anything) but it just wasn't the drug for me, but everyone has different reactions, so it might work wonders for you! Best of luck, I really hope it works for you, because it is a miracle drug for those who it works for! :)

I gained weight on this med as well as I hated the side effects - with each increase in dose I felt more depressed and I did go all the way to the max to give it a fair chance.
Looks like you are not on any medication at the present?

Zoloft saved my life…My anxiety had me down to 94lbs - Im 5'1" - It really didn't kick in for about
6 weeks - I had no appetite. When my appetite finally came back I did gain the weight back plus some..went up to 127. I started on 25mg and went up to 75mg. 3 years later Im down to 25mg and lost the weight..down to 112. But - I did go off birth control pills..so maybe that is why I lost the weight. It takes time for the med to get into your system so give it time…you will feel so much better - like yourself again!!
