Well again I'm in the ER. Having pains in lower left abdomen. They're going to check for appendicitis, gallbladder and a few other things. Wish me luck this pain is unbearable.

Oh no! I am so sorry Shadieeie.:(
I hope that all is well, and that it turns out to be something simple and easily treatable.
Will you please let us know what was going on, and how you are when you can?
Thoughts and prayers!!

Well I am glad that you went in!!
Sorry to hear that you have to have surgery, but thank God you got in and they caught it early! (before a rupture)
I agree with Larry. This is routine and should be a piece of cake.
However, I know that it is just in our nature to be worried...and I would be feeling scared myself.
Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. We are there with you in spirit.
You will be just fine. Let us know how you are doing when you can okay?

My boyfriend had terrible pains 4 years ago while we were in the hospital and I was in labor with our daughter. By the time we left the hospital a few days later it was Christmas eve and I made him go to the hospital that morning. turns out it was appendicitis and he had to have emergency surgery because it was on the verge of rupturing. it must be an easy surgery because he begged to come home the next day (Christmas day) and be home with me and our kids for Christmas. they said normally he would have had to stay , but they would let him go because everything was looking great. so he was out the next day after surgery. he was in a little bit of pain but they gave him pains meds. he only took a few and the rest are probably sitting around somewhere so it was an easy recovery as well!
wishing you the best of luck! (-:

Wishing you the best of luck. As the others mentioned, this is such a common-place surgery now-a-days, I'm sure you'll be hop-skipping and skedaddling in no time!
My prayers and well-wishes are with you.

Thanks for all the well wishes and encouragement. I guess the surgery went good. I am in pain and had to beg for my panic medicine. Guess I was having little withdrawal because I had the sensation of being short of breath. Tiring to do the deep breathing but that's difficult with the pain in my abdomen. I can't wait to go home.

Great to hear from you!! I am glad that it went well, and that you are on the mend.:)
It is good that they are letting you use your meds...you will certainly need them now. Pain, and being in the hospital are certainly adding to your anxiety.
Hopefully you will be released soon so that you can rest and recouperate at home.
Keep us posted...but take it easy and get well first and foremost!

It's great to hear about
your follow up! It's a good thing you got checked, and things got taken care of right away.
S.C. brought up some really good points, (she always does!)....but being in the hospital, away from family and friends, in pain, after surgery,...plus relying on the nurse's schedules to bring you your meds,....those are all good reasons for anxiety.
So it's good news that you'll be coming home soon and get back on track, and hey, look at it this way: now you have one less thing to worry about
! ;-P
Prayers going your way. Heal quickly!

Well I finally got released today from the hospital. They kept me a day longer because Dr said that my appendix was inflamed and he wanted to make sure I didn't have any complications. Getting that done in your teens is probably a piece of cake, but when you hit the 50 mark it isn't as easy. I'm still sore and they even did it the less invasive way. I'm just glad to be home, and the beagles got me a very pretty purple orchid. Hopefully life will go back to normal now, well as normal as it was before all this fun happened.
