Lacey,
Great vent and I hope you remember that you can come here anytime to let out your pent-up feelings.
Many people mistakenly blame themselves for their anxiety; consider themselves weak and unworthy because they cannot control their emotions. Not true - anxiety is a disorder and blaming yourself is only going to make you feel depressed along with the anxiety.
If you have generalized anxiety disorder you keep getting tricked into believing that you're about to be driven mad by the constant worrying. This is your mind playing games with you.
In each case of anxiety or panic, the episode of fear passes without the expected catastrophe. You're none the worse for wear, except that your more worried about the next episode.
I am going to post a few links from our resources, that you may not have visited, in hope that one of the links will help you.
