Hang in there. The Rx that you have started will take time to build up, level off and come to a theraputic level.
Sometimes this is not explained by the prescribing doctor...but it is common. Anxiety can even increase slighty upon start up, but if you continue to take your meds (assuming the side effects are not too severe to tolerate) you may end up with an excellent treatment for yourself.
Until you start to feel better (this can take several weeks) why not try some self help techniques to keep you calm? Here a few links to check out:
