I am currently taking Concor (Bisoprolol) which is also a Beta Blocker to help minimize my heart palpitations, heart rate and blood pressure. Due to my anxiety and stress, my blood pressure has reached up to 160,170/70,80 and my resting heart rate was 100+.
After taking the Concor, my heart rate has dropped to a nice 65-70 beats a minute and my blood pressure to around 110,120/50-70, it has helped with my palpitations and chest tightness but it feels so different I am still taking time to get used to it.
I take 2.5 mg Concor at night, 20mg Prozac in the morning and between 1 to 1.25 mg of Xanax a day.
Concor: 10/10
Prozac: 6/10
Xanax: 7/10
In my opinion, you should consult a cardiologist as well about the Beta Blocker since it's mainly Cardio medication. I have consulted mine and has said 2.5 mg Concor is a baby dose and if it helps you, it is very safe to do so.
Best of luck,
