I have a really good opportunity to change my career direction to do something I want to do but I don't think its the right time as far as my anxiety is. Im just starting on new meds effexor and pregabalin nearly 3 weeks now and had decided I would make this change in sept when my youngest goes to secondary school as it means going full time and studying for a degree. But there is a government push to get posts filled by 2015 so they have pushed a cohort in and it means I need to apply today and interviews will take place next week !! Ive had a sleepless night and have such a headache now. But I keep thinking I shouldn't let my anxiety ruin my future. I think interviews etc will be more leanient as they need these posts filled but my anxiety is just escalating at the mere thought of an interview just can't decide what to do !!

dear marie, i am certainly no expert on employment in america, but it does seem to me that this has been something you ve really wanted, and that if you didn t have anxiety and the hassle of adjusting to new meds, you wouldn t be hesitating. really, what have you got to lose? you may be amazed at how well you are able to hide the anxiety inside you, to those who are interviewing, and they will see someone who is eager and full of energy. i am sure you will do great

Thank you so much mindymaggie l think your right Im looking at applying and not over thinking it if I get interview worry about it at the time.1 step at a time I guess thats all ant of us can do xx

I find that making a list of pro's and con's is a good place to start. Also, considering what it best for you and your family...as that should always be priority number one...even over the best ofjob opportunities.

They say that at the end of our lives, it is the quality and quantity of good times spent with family that we remember and embrace.

Of course you can have all of that and a great job as well...it just depends on if you feel that you are ready at this time.:)

Your heart and gut will let you know.:)

Sometimes though we are aflected with this condition we are
stronger than we think and seem to be able to take on a
challenge I think you can do it, what about the insurance
on the new job. Peace
