cry Hi I'm new here my name's Don, I started taking Bus par last week 5 mg twice a day and it's a blessed curse, it's working with controlling my anxiety but the side effects are hell. All my muscles below my neck are stiff, my feet and hands feel numb, and I all ways have a bad taste in my mouth, I take this with 600 mg of sequel, anybody else have these problems?

No. Hopefully the side effects will dissipate in time. If not, talk to your doctor or if they get too hard to bear, call him pronto!
BTW, I've been on Buspar for many years. 30 mg in the am and 30 mg at bedtime.

Hi Don and welcome!

I am sorry to hear that you are having some undesired effects of the Buspar that you have recently started.

However, since you have had some anxiety relief...I agree with Janetlee that you will probably want to stick this out for a bit, and see if the s/e's phase out.

Few years ago when I had my first panic attack I was prescribed buspar, the only problem I had with buspar was the first half hour after taking it I would sweat my shirt off... But after was like miracle.
I got the dose increased only once just cause didn't feel 100% and after 6 months I stop taking it without any problems ... That was 2007..... Just few months ago I felt slowly slowly my anxiety coming back, the doc here put me on Citalopram and after 2 weeks things for whatever reason got worst.... My doc give me the choice buspar or Citalopram ?.... Than he decided for Citalopram darn it !! This morning I'm going back to him and see what to do... Can medications actually work against the purpose ???
