Dry Cough

I also take Paxil and yes dry mouth and cough are s/e of this med. This is something that they can't do anything about. Sorry for the bad news. I have water and hard candy or gum to make mine better.

Many of my meds cause dry mouth.  I keep a bottle of water next to my bed - in the middle of the night I sometimes can't even swallow.............

If there is no reason why you should not, increase your water intake during the day so your well hydrated.

As Kitt mentioned, I also keep two bottles of water next to my night stand, I have bottles of water in my car, the fridge is stocked, and I take water with me everywhere I go!

I've tried hard candies and such, but the only thing I've found that seems to settle the dry cough when it pops up is Ricola. So yes, I keep those handy too.

I've learned over the years that quite a few of the meds so many of us are on, can cause dry mouth.

Some members have success with Biotene, so you may want to give that a try?

Faith, I don't smoke or drink, do take a lot of meds but me and
my oldest Daughter both have this throat clearing thing, my
uncle did also, its a feeling like flem in the throat but nothing
is there, its always present when I am nervous, that's what I
think causes it for me, Peace
