Hi Kaykim7.
I'm not a medical expert, but I'm turning 22 in a few days and have suffered from Anxiety on and off for a few years now. What you're scared about is the possibility of a heart attack or other potentially deadly things I'm sure.
After a decent amount of research, as far as heart attacks are concerned, this is not a condition that happens instantly. It's a build up, so if you are a young adult chances are this is not relative to you at all. Sharp pains actually aren't bad. If they come and go you're fine. Your chest wall muscles (along with gas-related pains) constantly poke and throb at you all day, and the sharp pains that are manageable are generally nothing to worry about.
If you happen to have wracking pains where you literally find it nearly impossible to stand straight or do basic functions, this is when you'd need to go to the hospital. And generally something like this does not happen over night as said before.
So, all things considered, it is probably natural. I have found that the best cure for this is to help calm yourself. Others might suggest relaxing music or what not, but I find talking with someone you're comfortable with generally helps ease you in preparation for sleep. I personally have most of my issues just before bed when you try to be to most calm (and subsequently privy to the tiniest of feelings in your body).
If you have no one to talk to, I'm willing.
