Everything is wrong I just don't feel right and I
don't know what's wrong I feel panicky , my chest hurts , breathing feels funny
, heap pains , I feel unreal like I'm not here , like sick to my stomach , like
flu l like I'm fading away .... This anxiety is really messing with me , it's
never been this bad , the funny thing is nothing is wrong ....."
I pulled this up for you to see that you have been dealing for months with high anxiety and as
Merrida said, "There's no magic pill that "makes you happy" and if you get right down to it, one's definition of "normal" may vary greatly."
Medication will not
cure anxiety disorders, but it can keep them under control while you receive therapy.
Medication must be prescribed by physicians, usually psychiatrists, who can
either offer psychotherapy themselves or work as a team with psychologists,
social workers, or counselors who provide psychotherapy.
Once upon a time I, too, thought a pill would make me better and no more anxiety or depression - the day I accepted that anxiety was part of my life and medication helped me feel well enough to work with a therapist I knew I was now on the right road.
Taking medication is a personal choice, however, making this choice is causing you high anxiety. Try to make your decision and along with that accept that it will take up to 6-8 weeks for the full therapeutic level of the AD to reach it's peak.
Be prepared to work hard but keep your eye on the goal of feeling less anxious and happier.
Happy Trails to you and know you have a large support group here in HealingWell.
