So I posted earlier about
not doing so well lately, and I'm sorry to post again and bother everyone. But now a new symptom!! A throbbing in my body, kind of like a pulsating sensation along with the rhythm of my heart. I ate dinner, then went to lay down, that's when the throbbing started, I woke up now and it's worse. I can see my chest moving along with my heart beats. I took my pulse and it's 99, I'm laying down right now and that's way to high. I'm freaking out, I'm very concerned. And I know to stay away from google, but I'm reading about
all sorts of cardiac problems. I got an EKG (3 months ago- normal) never an echo or anything. Can this all be anxiety, or something medically (physically) wrong!? Please help, I'm panicking ๐

Ok, are you sure!? I checked again it's jumping around from 96bpm - 105bpm thanks for the little comparison to the 1950's it's made me laugh ๐. But are you sure it's ok? Because I was sleeping for about
an hour and a half and it was continuous throughout my sleeping. One more question is it safe to take Xanax .5mg if your pulse is high like 105? ( I know your not a doctor, and understand fully if you don't feel comfortable answering.) thanks again, Jenn ๐

Thanks! I feel relieved hearing that, I didn't take it which I'm glad because as you know it's addicting. My pulse is slowly coming down, I hope and pray it continues to drop. Sure, I would love to hear your thoughts๐

I know your pain. The thing that scares me the most and which is my cause of anxiety is my heart and that they are missing something (I've had pretty severe gi issues since last November). Last night and today my heart rate has been in the upper 90s even low 100s. Now when I take my librax, which has an antianxiety med in it, my rate slows down some. Same thing when I take my ativan, which leads me to believe that its anxiety. I have had a nuclear stress test that the dr said I ace'd, and have had numerous EKGs even wore a monitor for 4 days. Still for some reason, my mind thinks there is still things they can do do to make sure it's fine. Sadly our minds are amazing and horrific as it can play havoc on our body. Being your age, it would be highly doubtful you would have any heart problems. And if you did, they would have been heredetary and you would have already known this from birth. For us anxiety folks, the mind is our worst enemy no matter how amazing it is. Things can and usually do get somewhat better. My question is this, xanax has such a quick high then low, maybe a longer acting benzo might be better for you. Instead of the quick down from an attack maybe one like klonopin or valium or librium that has a longer half life might be a better solution

My heartrate vary wildly! If I am relaxed, it may drop into the low 50's...especially if I have been doing more workouts than usual. (note, my heartrate is higher
just after
exercising...but do to being an athlete by trade, at rest, I tend towards bradycardia.)
However, if I have been under stress, or just eaten a large meal...my HR can jump up into the 80's, or occasionally low 90's.
For me, that is a 30+ BPM increase!
So if you are normally running in the 60-70's, you are not even getting that much of a jump.
It is normal to have higher BPM from time to time. The more you focus on this, the longer is will be susutained.
It is good that in your last post, it was already starting to drop as you were getting reassurance.;) Good sign!
Use your relaxation techniques, and you will be fine!

ProblemsAreOpportunities- that's ok lol (: your welcome to post!

Chadj- Thanks for replying, I'm sorry your having similar problems. I always feel my heart beating faster and I can always see my heart beating in my chest. I hate how anxiety makes you believe things even if your fine. I really hope you find peace, and I'm always here to chat! Jenn๐
Scaredy Cat- That must be pretty scary having your heart rate jump around like that. And that's so weird what you said! Is it normal for your pulse and heart to beat faster after eating!? Because that's been happening every tome after I eat should I be concerned? I have been trying really hard with my CBT! Thanks again, Jenn๐

Jenn,
It is completely normal for your HR to vary throughout the day.
It is also normal for it to go up while digesting, so nothing to be concerned about
there .:)
I no longer worry about
my heart rate really...I will be worried when it stops, Lol!
Great news about
your efforts in doing your CBT...keep up the good work!
Talk to you soon,
S.C.
