Dear Friends,I do not have enough room here in the forum to write it all
I was dx 30 years ago but in the beginning my problems were much smaller and I could go years without huge anxiety.
Anxiety has given me the opportunity to support others here in the forum and in the real world. One of the things I do best is support people in need and share about myself so they know I really do understand what anxiety feels like.
It has brought me back to talking with my God and praying. I never left my religious believes but I did not always take the time to practice what I learned as a child.
If I did not have anxiety and depression I would not have met all the wonderful people here in HealingWell.
I joined HW in 2007 and rarely a day goes by that I do not check in so Anxiety helped me find a purpose and led me to a place where I can feel good about belonging to a support group.
I was dx with Stage IIIC Colon cancer with nodal metastasis, my anxiety rides in high gear much of the time but the wonderful members of this forum support me here in the forum as well as on my Caring Bridge. If I had not already belonged to HW I would not had an established group of a supporters.
I have had the opportunity to visit by phone with other members, through email and one of my dearest friends flew to MN in the worst snowstorm we had all year to spend a week-end with me. If I did not have anxiety I would never have met SC in person.
I wish you peace,
Kitt
