Positive post about people who are on or starting lexapro

I started .5 of lexapro on Monday night. I was prescribed 10mg but taking only half for the first 6 days.so I have been on it for only 4 days. I have been doing okay besides feeling dizzy, foggy and nauseous and a little gassy. I have battled with constant chest and arm pain since my anxiety since September and have had every heart test done and everything came back fine. I also take Xanax .5 3 to 4 times during a day and generic Zantac morning and night. My anxiety seems a little higher this morning woke up at 4 and my heart hurt started freaking and sweating and had a panic attack and took a Xanax and calmed down pretty quick - is it normal to have a little bit of an increase in attacks. I know all the other side effects are normal and it can take 6 to 9 weeks I really start working so I'm looking for positive stories!

Thank you! Cymbalta is the next one we are going to try if this one doesn't work. But I'm sticking it out - this is my first time taking an anti depressant so it's all new to me. Thanks so much for the feedback!

Lexapro can cause a rise in your anxiety at first but it was just temporary for me - I liked this drug but  it pooped out quickly.

I also was on Cymbalta for quite a long time - at least 1 year but it also pooped out......... I have depression and anxiety so finding the right one is difficult.  I am currently on Effexor XR @ 300mg every morning.
