Hey everyone, i'm new to the boards and just wanted to see if any of you guys have experienced this...
When I was eating clean, exercising daily, not drinking much or any caffeine, extra sugar or alcohol, my anxiety was basically NON-EXISTENT. It honestly felt like a cloud had been lifted from my head and after a while I couldn't even remember what it felt like to have those crazy anxiety sensations! It seemed like those sensations and panic sessions were just a bad dream in the past. I was on this healthy path for about 4 months...
about 3 months ago I slowly began backpedaling with my lifestyle and all the bad habits crept in until they became the norm again. I've been eating bad foods, caffeine, sugar, alcohol (not everyday but much more often than when I was "being healthy")
As I started going back to this old way, I noticed my anxiety was increasing and I was feeling like my old self again (not a good thing!) Now it's to the point where I have to make a change. Tomorrow I go back to eating clean, exercising, etc. When my anxiety was gone, it was the most amazing feeling to feel nothing! (if that makes sense.) I now have been getting some of my old anxiety feelings back and I just hate it.
So what i'm asking is do any of you have a similar experience with this? Have you noticed a correlation between your diet/lifestyle and having or not having anxiety symptoms?
