Angel,Great input from the members who have responded to you.
You posted, "it feels like I don't have enough energy to do the things I enjoyed before". I feel the same way but my psychiatrist blamed that on my depression and anxiety. The first part of 2012 I just felt exhausted and not able to do the things I like to do even at home.
My Pdoc increased my antidepressant which made things worse...............
Finally in August of 2012 a medical reason was found for my fatigue which I continue to deal with but knowing the problem has helped me learn to push myself a little harder and not give into the fatigue. I rest when my body demands rest which is like clockwork - every day around 2:00 PM.
I did not find myself feeling old until the fatigue set in.
I still do not feel old, but I do feel sick.
I am going to encourage you to see a Rheumatologist for a second opinion for your joint pain.
Women and men of all ages can develop osteoarthritis, and approximately 27 million Americans over the age of 25 are diagnosed with osteoarthritis. That said, women over the age of 45 are at increased risk of developing the condition.
I am not a Dr. so I cannot dx and I would probably get it wrong so do seek a second opinion from a Dr. that deals is joint pain..............
Yes, I have GERD - however- the anxiety/depression came first. I also have osteoarthritis.
I wish you peace,
Kitt
