Good morning all...

Happy friday! The stressing work week is almost over....thank goodness im not part of it

Todays agenda...find the cojones to take my first Zoloft, and get ready to go back to work on monday. I had the doc release me, against his better judgement, to go back to work. I was notified about lay offs at work, and im on the list. I should have been laid off, but since im on medical they cant technically lay me off. And since my insurance for short term hasnt paid me yet(darn insurance companies ) I need to have money coming in. Im not rich, 5 weeks without pay starts to hurt a little. So, hopefully, I clock in on monday, and they throw me right back out, and ill be watching The Price IS Right before noon


Now, to get this Zoloft in my mouth, its been inches away for about half an hour now, but for some reason my my lips tighten up harder than....wait, this is a family board(I remember SC!! )

I babe a bottle of Zoloft as well and am in the same boat. I've had a fear of SSRIs ever since taking a lexapro 5 years ago and having a bad panic attack an hour after taking it. I did not have an anxiety issue at the time and had it prescribed for postpartum depression. Now I'm scared to take pretty much everything! Let me know how the Zoloft works for you if you do decide to take it. Maybe your positive experience can help motivate me to go for it!

Great job on pushing past your worries, and doing what you need to do to start feeling better!!

I am sure that you will be fine. Hopefully your start up will go without a hitch...it does for many.

If you do experience any s/e's...you have your coping skills to get you through...and our support!

Best wishes in advance on going back to work on Monday. You will be just fine. Great job on doing what needs to be done in that sense.:)

Thanks all. Seems my heart rate is up a little, along with BP. Not sure if its the Zoloft. I believe its just a little anxiety about taking it. So, I just took the other half. Have a Xanax on stand by just in case the anxiety gets out of hand. I know its not stemming from my GERD/vagus, because im not experiencing pain at the moment. Trying not to be overly cautious, or worrying just yet. Though its hard not to. Keeping my BP monitor plugged in just in case I feel it creep higher. Fingers crossed!!!

Actually pretty good. Nothing odd or out of the ordinary, except a little more anxiety, which as I said, im sure was just me waiting for something to happen...lol. Going to take my 2nd dose here in about an hour, will report tomorrow how that one goes. Thanks for asking!

Not sure what to think at the moment. But I am feeling tired and lethargic, just as I did on Celexa. I did take a nap after yesterdays pills(took one pill in 2 halves) . But I didnt think it was the Zoloft that made me tired yesterday. My first thoughts are, here we go again. I am calm, not really feeling an increase in anxiety, none of the other supposed side effects listed for Zoloft. Just extremely tired again.

I have some thinking to do. Monday I go back to work, only for a couple hours due to contractual lay off. I cannot function when I am feeling lethargic. So I may stop taking Zoloft, until after Monday.

On my mind right now is, I may not do well on SSRI's, and considering I am not depressed and they were only prescribed to help calm the vagus nerve which kicks my anxiety/panic into high gear when it elevates my heart rate, SSRI's might not be the proper path for me.

Not jumping the gun, but seems me and the doc need to have a long heart to heart again. Ill see if I can get in Monday or Tuesday. I simply will not go another 2-3 or more weeks laying around like a couch potato.
