Living with heart flutters anxiety

I've been dealing with the lovely series of heart flutters/palpitations/skipped beats for quite some time now, I got them about a year ago and they have taken breaks and then come back. I've gone to the Dr. 3 times and each time he said it wasn't harmful.

What are some ways of coping with them when they do come up and won't leave? The Dr. said I might just have to live with them. Sometimes it's hard, because my anxiety can flare up and my mind will start creating terrible OCD from this. Do you guys have any advice?

I'm in the same boat as you. *Thumbs down for pvc's*, but like Cornell said, with relaxation techniques such as deep breathing you can find a way to be more at ease through them. Personally, I am starting to wonder if I will have to live the rest of my life with these palpitations, but I am not sold on keeping them around just yet. I am trying to find the best way to keep them at bay by finding what triggers them in the first place.

There are lots of websites that give ideas on how to reduce them, but here is what I found is working for me:

-Epsom salt baths (2-3 times per week.) This is for magnesium which somehow helps, no idea how, but I noticed that it works and when I forget to or am too busy to, I get more PVC's.

-Cut back on caffeine. I used to have 2 coffee's or latte's per day, and now I have only one cup of tea in the morning.

-Watch out for tension. I daily try to pay attention to my posture and whether or not my muscles are going into tension without my awareness. I figured out I am tense about 99 percent of the day so I have been working on relaxation techniques to help my muscles CHILL OUT and relax. :)

-Water intake. When I drink 4 full water bottles per day, I notice I have a LOT less PVC's.

-Rest. When I get my proper amount of sleep, it definitely helps. Everyone is different but I really need 9 hours of sleep to be at my best.

-Avoid stress... AS if that were truly possible. :) The practical ways I have been doing this are finding out some major stressors and actively finding solutions as to how I can better handle those situations/events/responsibilities/etc...
