Don't know about this ebola.... safe or not

I am starting to get really worried about this ebola stuff. Not sure if I should be scared or if people are making a bigger deal of the 2 case's then needed. I don't want to get it or anyone I know to get it. I wanna lock up anyone I know that way we don't get it. I want the world to go away until I know that this is under control and we are safe. I think that I am being paranoid, but what is everyone else thinking

Hi

I must admit I have been worried about this as well and we have not had any cases here in the UK although they are predicting that there will be some within the next few weeks.

I think we just need to trust in the authoritys and know that the screening they are doing at airports will pick up on any cases and then treated in the correct way.

I feel so sorry for those in the African countries that have been affected by ebola and feel strongly that we should of helped them more months ago to stop it spreading to the stage it has know.

I think the media tends to hype things up too much.

I volunteer at a large hospital and we just received an email today that patients coming through the ER that have Ebola type symptoms (and have traveled out of the country within the last 30 days) will have to wear a protective mask and will be triaged immediately. I think most hospitals will be following these guidelines, as they were put out by the CDC. I feel pretty confident the right precautions are being taken.

I used to live in the apartment community where the second nurse lives... It's only 14 miles from where I live now... The Presby hospital is a few miles closerskull

No One I know is worried about it.. We've been watching the news and understand you have to have personally touched the person while they were sweating.... or had the person puke on you...or drank their blood. (i'm slightly over exaggerating here)

Unlike other viruses - this one isn't airborne where you can infected if the sick person coughs from across the room.

I'm much more concerned about driving home on the freeway... That's an every day event where I risk my life... But nuttin has happened yet.
