Im just wanting to know if any1 is on sertraline anti depresant?? Ive just changed from citalpram to these and want to know peoples thoughts

These meds are both in the same classification (SSRI) so likely you will have a smooth transition...without significant s/e's...

...and hopefully, they are just different enough, as to meet your needs for anxiety management.

As with many A/D's, there is often a period of adjustment, so try to be patient the first few weeks of your start up.

Use of coping skils can really help get you through the initial build up and leveling off...so see our Resources if you need material!

I am so sorry you are feeling awful! :(

If MHS (assuming this is an urgent care hotline?) thought you were at risk...they would NOT have recommended waiting until tomorrow to talk with your doctor.

Likely this is increased anxiety symptoms due to your switch/start up.

Use the coping skilss in our Resources (let me know if you need the direct link) to lower your anxiety and feel better.

Hang in there Dan. Most people I know on antidepressants have said that the first few weeks are rough, but once your body adjusts, it will hopefully be worth the suffering. Do you take a Benzo in combination with the a/d? I've been told that doing this really takes the edge of the side effects when trying a new med.

I get the same kind of arm and chest pains when I am transitioning. Went from Zoloft to Effexor and now believe I'm settling in with lexapro. I absolutely hate the feeling. Drives me crazy.

You should see your doctor to rule out everything for your piece of mind.
