Melodee and Honesto... We truly have a LOT more inner strength that we give ourselves credit for... part of the 'trick' is to just SAY that to yourself...
I had a teacher once tell our group something that I have never forgotten...She said: "OK, group! How are your elbows? Do they hurt? NO!?? Well, there you go...!! concentrate on that and stop focusing on what you 'think' is wrong." Her no nonsense approach helped us to realize we CAN change our thinking...but you have to let go of thinking that 'you can't.' She did not sympathize...and sometimes we felt anger towards her...but you see, that HELPED!! It is one heck of a lot better to feel ANGER than despair...its up way higher on the emotional scale.
