I rarely smoke . Maybe 2 cigarettes in 4 months. I smoked a week and a half back and two days aftr that , I felt a lump onthe inside of my lower lip , (labial mucosa), I fhecked it out in the mirror, and I found a small white spot near the same area as the hard lump. I googled the symptoms and infound that what I was goijg though could be related to oral cancer. I started to constantly press the lump and that part of the lip swelled up with other lumps in the same area. I then stopped irritating the area but I smoked 2 cigarettes again and drank too. So eventually the swelling went but the lump I previously spoke about became small and movable and the small white patch started spreading unevenly in the same area. Now I am extremely scared as I think I may be having oral cancer and the white patch is leukoplakia. Please help me sad

Just try your best to stay calm and get in to see a doctor as soon as you're able. They'll figure out what is going on and put your mind at ease.

Goal, first see a doctor or dentist,

The oral cancer you are describing is associated with smokeless tobacco, i never understood why anyone
would use it but to each there own, there are several mouth ulcers that sound like what you describe, peace

Larry, thnx fr d support. I really appreciate it but the white patches ( I think leukoplakia) do not hurt at all and the lump is small but movable. Can leukoplakia spread quickly ?

Hey Goal

As a person who visited dentist a couple of months ago for oral cancer worries, I have to say chances of you getting oral cancer is very low.

Dentist described it to me like this: "Oral cancer is a very rare condition to begin with. If you are not a heavy smoker and at the same time a heavy drinker, then you shouldn't worry because around 85-90% of those cases are heavy smokers and drinkers. And again, it's a RARE cancer..." he said.

When I was reading about oral cancer before going to dentist (yeah mistake, DON'T DO IT) I read a specific totally benign condition with a trademark lump at bottom gum of the mouth (I don't remember what it is called) and it is a very common condition, maybe you have it. But of course we are not drs and we cannot diagnose.
You shouldn't diagnose yourself.
Please visit dentist and whatever it is, they are going to treat it anyways :) I hope you get good results.

Stay calm, chances of getting oral cancer are VERY low <3

i have an appointment with the dentist next week but today i noticed that a wound in the same area formed a leukoplakia looking like spot and i dont know why i did it but i bit it off. it had a bump and i dont kno wat to do nw

Hello,

My wife is a nurse and says that you don't seem to have the risk factors to develop this type of RARE cancer. She explained that most tumors do not hurt and will not move around. So please try to stay calm and what to see what your doctor or dentist says.

Put some hydrogen peroxide in your mouth where the injury is, you will be ok> Peace

Thanks Guys for the comfort.......... I have my the Dentist's appointment after 3 days . Today behind my neck , on the left side I felt a hard lump , pea sized and round. It seems like a swollen lymph node.
Now I am really scared to visit the hospital.
Can somebody please tell me what is it ??

Do you have someone that can look at your neck? It could just be a pimple aka clogged pore...

Could just be a canker sore. Could just be you know you shouldn't smoke and are feeling guilty about it- it's what will keep you from making it a bad habit.

i am so scared to death and moreover what increases my fear is that a red patch which i think is erythroplakia is in my mouth. What should i do? is howed my mom the lump in the neck and she told me that its normal but still i am so scared . I fell like thats it , i am done.

try rinsing with some warm salt water
You are getting fixated with this and it is becoming all consuming, it's all you are thinking about.
Try to divert your attention by doing something that will keep your mind busy.

thnx a lot guys..... rinsing really helped nd nw i dont hav d leukoplakia or the erythroplakia.... im kinda relieved but i still have the painless hard lump behind my neck.
Any ideas on what that is.

Hey Goal, I am glad to hear you got good dentist results :) yay

The hard lump is probably benign but be sure to show it to a dr since we cannot give diagnose here. When you hear the good news again, you will sure relax <3

I didnt go to the dentist ... coz my oral symptoms are healing but i was just wondering what caused the lump to be there .

It could be anything! A bump with a tooth brush, a piece of food that poked you...an irritation from a food or drink that you are sensitive to.

I have a place at the top of my mouth currently that is raw and sore. I couldn't figure out what it was from until I wracked my brain and finally remembered that I had burned it on something too hot. (that's what I get for being impatient and not letting my food cool down!!)

It didn't even really hurt at the time, but now is causing quite a bit of discomfort, and is taking its time to go away!

I am glad to hear that your sore is healing...focus on that, and working towards anxiety management...rather than why it was there in the first place!

I'm glad to hear that your worrisome oral symptoms are going away :) the bump you found is probably a lymph node. Nodes can be all shapes and sizes with or without there actually being an infection present. I'm guessing the node was already present in its current condition and you just found it during hyper-vigilance. The oral symptoms you described could have caused your body to respond in the way its supposed to by activating the nearest lymph node to help fight a minor infection.

yea.... maybe u r rite turn but it is getting weirder and weirder coz today morning i woke up with nausea and weakness and i puked out yesterdays dinner , then i felt better , after puking and i ate breakfast , i slept for a while and i woke up with mild throat pain and weakness in legs with mild nausea. Is it only a digestive problem ?
