HELP!! Worst palp EVER

Two times today I had super hard, noticeable palps. They were so hard, I thought my heart stopped. Scared the you-know-what out of me. Has anyone had this before? I'm so upset right now I feel like I'm going to throw up.

Those are the worst ones. :( So sorry you are getting then too. I get around 1 of those during a good month and around 2 a day during a bad week. It's really no fun at all, so I completely empathize with you here.

I haven't figured out a way to completely prevent the residual anxiety that happens when I have them, but attention diversion is the best I can do to try and forget it happened and move on.

Did you eat anything different than the norm today? How about hydration? Are you keeping up well with water? And how is breathing and posture? The "big" ones usually happen to me wen I am in a very pressured situation and am not breathing correctly, and usually have not been keeping up on my water very well either... And hey, let me be completely honest, when I've had a bit too much junk food over te course of 2-3 days....

While it doesn't take away all the fear, I hope it helps a little to know that I have to go through the same... And My anxiety sky rockets when they happen too.

MSP- I was just driving my son home from daycare when it happened. The one earlier in the day, I was walking up some stairs.

TMA- thanks, it makes me feel better to know you've had them too. I actually drank a lot of water today. I have a water bottle that I fill constantly during class. When I'm in class is when I'm the best about drinking water. I've been eating well also.

SC- yes, that one nearly knocked me on my arse! Good thing I was sitting down! It was so strong and I thought I was going to pass out. Then the fear kicked in. I don't know what else they can do for testing. I guess maybe a 30 day Holter??

My spouse was less than helpful last night when I got home. He said why are you scared, just stop thinking about it, you know it's nothing why are you thinking about it. It was so hurtful and made me feel like it is all my fault that I am scared. Finally I said I cannot talk to you about this and ended the discussion. Then he got all mad saying it was "my filter" that makes me think he is being mean and insensitive. That it is not "reality" I'm tired of him trying to make me seem like I have no idea what it looks like when someone isn't supportive.

I get these too so I feel for you! Such a scary feeling... Mine feels like a BANG right in the middle of my chest and freaks me out for hours! Mine haven't been too bad since starting the SSRI's though :)

I'm not sure what causes mine though.. There must be triggers for them and I wish I knew what it was..

about your spouse, some people just really don't understand how we feel sometimes. I get told all the time to 'just not think about it' but it's so difficult! We all understand how you feel here and I hope your feeling much better about it today!

I'm worried and preoccupied today. Trying to determine if it is something to worry about. I left a message with my doctor. From the sounds of it though, from everyone else, that super hard ones can happen from time to time. I'm just so sick of feeling like this. Feeling depressed and hopeless. Just getting through these days hoping for better ones to come.

I really feel the same way often Miss Gigi. Last year when I first experienced the really hard, scary, knock you out of your boots palps, I was so beside myself. I just so happened to be in Grand Cayman last year too when the "hard palps" came.

I went back to the cardiologist when I got back home (in March 2014) and told him what had happened. How I felt like I was literally electrocuted and knocked off my feet by the palps, and he said that no matter how tough they are, they are benign and you have a structurally sound heart, so try will not hurt you.

Easier said than done though... And my doc knew that as well. Living with PVCs is soo tricky sometimes, but the motto that I have made part of my life is, ride out the bad days as best as you can and rejoice in the good days.

Please do let me know though if your doc says anything different about the hard palps, since I get them as well.. On a monthly basis.

OMG YES!! I just posted a new thread cause I was freaking out about my palps that just happened. But I had some other questions in there too if anyone would like to help me through my worries.

I totally wish my cardiologist would let me ask more questions, but he really doesn't like my lists.... :( but decidedly, I wasn't going to leave until I had an answer to that one!!!
