Woke up after falling asleep w my son- feel horrible

I fell asleep with my son. Just intended to lay with him until he fell asleep. I woke up in a panic because I had slept for an hour and still needed to study and it was already 10:30. Now I can't calm down. My heart rate is super high and I feel like I'm going to pass out. I can't breathe. My blood pressure is normal though. What is going on? Normally it is high when I feel like this. Does that mean something is wrong?

Well, I've managed to finally calm myself down. Spent the last hour and half doing that and now I'm going to be tired tomorrow because I've stayed up so late and to top if off I still didn't get any studying done even though I was up super late. Ugh. Some days I just can't win and get really PI**ED at anxiety for taking so much time out of my life. If I was going to be up this late it would have been nice to get some studying done and not just try to talk myself out of going to the ER.

I’m a mother too and I understand how tough it would be to raise a child, study, and work when you have anxiety. I only experienced fast heart beats waking up when I got nightmares. It’s good that you were able to manage the anxiety attacks before it consumed you and make you rush to the ER. Just hold on there! God will always be there to help you.

Morning MG,

Hope you aren't too tired after last night. I'm glad you were able to calm down, but I know how frustrating it is that it feels like all that time was taken from you by panic. I get mad about this regularly!

I didn't fall asleep until almost 2. So like 4 hours of sleep. I'm super tired and feel so gross and anxious today. I know it's lack of sleep, but ugh.

I had that night last on Monday. Four hours. It's tough to turn the ship around, but it can be done. Good luck today Gigi:)

I know that feeling! Lack of sleep can make a day so hard! Plus you just wake up cranky after a night like that!! Hang in there today!

MG,

I have had a racing heart with low pressure...like really low!

My heart rate and BP can fluxuate in and of themselves, and in combination with eachother...there seems to be no rhyme or reason, I swear!

I am glad that you got calm, and got a bit of sleep after studying. Hopefully you can get all caught up and back on schedule this weekend.

You are working hard!! Great job, give yourself a pat on the back...and keep up the good work.;)
