LOLOLOL. Vision was gone!

Seriously, How does anxiety cause me to lose part of my vision for a good 30 minutes??!! I was at the library with my kids when suddenly the lower left part of my vision disappeared... That was seriously odd!! Trying to look at people and half of their face is missing.

I assumed it was an ocular migraine and went about my business as best as I could. My vision came back around 30 minutes later and then suddenly my left hand pinky went completely numb and the numbness started traveling up my hand. It wasn't a blood circulation issue because that would usually correct itself with the movement of my arm and it didn't!

Today is a serious Laugh out loud day! How do these completely weird and random things just happen?? I feel like a total goofball even sharing that this stuff seriously just happened to me!! Iyiyiyiyi!!!

Anyone else been there??? Or am I the only one???

Has that happened to you before, TMA? It may not be a bad idea to get checked out by a doctor. Either way, I'm glad you seem to be feeling better now!

Well that's a shame! I don't feel like losing part of your vision is something silly or anxiety related. I'd be frustrated if my doctor treated me that way. I'm glad you're not overly concerned though!

Migraine related I would say....and something I would pursue getting checked out with a specialist for treatment if you continue to have these symptoms. (sorry you were blown off before...you could see about getting an appointment with a neurologist)

Migraines can manifest with the partial blindness, the one sided numbness...and present with or without a headache.

I tend to get the aura effects (vertigo/rotating vision issues, difficulty speaking, phonophobia and general confusion) and have only a mild to moderate headache afterward.

Ahhhhh, I have about 3 ocular migranes a year. They are super scary, even though I know what they are. My last one was probably at the beginning of December. I still remember the first one I had. I was looking at myself in the mirror and all of a sudden I couldn't see my face.

I, too, get a mild headache after experiencing an ocular migrane. And I tend to get them when I am reading!! Either a book or on an electronic device.

How are you feeling today? Better I hope.

I have not had loss of vision like you described so can't really comment on that but agree it could be down to a migraine.

I have had problems with my pinky and half of the next finger going completely numb and found out that I had a trapped Ulnar Nerve in my elbow which was causing the numbness. It comes and goes and gets worse if I have my arm bent and leaning on my elbow so I try and keep my arm straight.

I would make an appointment with your doctor.
