Hi, Fitness, sorry that you didn't get any sleep and maybe trazodone isn't right for you (only 1.5 hours of sleep). You may need a higher dose to get you through the night. If a low dose doesn't do the trick, maybe a higher dose will. If you can get your doc to talk to you on the phone, you might ask about this. It's common to feel a little foggy for a couple of hours after waking. Most people have some coffee and breakfast and get past that. One thing I do know is that you DO need sleep. Re: getting to sleep or getting back to sleep, my CBT suggested counting backwards by threes starting with a 4 digit number, e.g. 1500, 1497, 1494, etc. Works for me sometimes.
Cut the pill in half last night. Didn't sleep quite as well or long, but I also don't feel as tired so far today. I am struggling just like you and have the same fears and anxieties about life, medications, sleep, etc. that you do. I don't mind at all if you want to vent. I may not have any answers, but willing to listen.
