Hardlife, i need to tell you something, most people that present here the first few time are exactly like you,
they think something must be very wrong and the doctors have missed it, some are "sure", but in the
end in order to get well and have a good life again, they had to face the real possibility that it was Anxiety!

You have been very honest with all of us, you feel you brought it on yourself, well maybe, maybe not, it
could be a coincidence in timing with the drug use and the other feelings, typically what you are experiencing at this time has been called "disassociation", and sometimes de-realization", in either case the unreal feelings, and other symptoms are a repeated senairo here with others and at one time i had the same feelings.

To get well you need to accept your doctors diagnosis, and take steps to make changes in your life, we call it baby steps, its a continuous forward journey to Wellness, "the key part of your recovery is You"!
Take the time to read the posts of others, you will see yourself several times, this is just so you will know that what you have is curable, also it's not a disease, its a condition. One you can and will get
over and it will be in your past!

When you are ready, start the reading, then go to the Resources page and look at the wealth of programs available. There is one or more that will work for you, Congratulations! Peace

Yes I agree with Larry, Hardtime.

We all felt, still feel the same from time to time. But trust me, it is temporary. When you learn to deal with your own misunderstanding of your bodily symptoms, everything turns back to normal. If not, almost normal xD

Anxiety (assuming that you went to drs and ruled out conditions) has the strange ability of mimicking all symptoms, especially the ones you are scared of.
We tend to focus on our symptoms a lot so that they become like x10 stronger. Which makes us go into that "mmmm-delicious" anxiety cycle where we turn around and around. It doesn't feel good really :/

Also If you consider getting a therapy help, I highly recommend CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy).

Hi, just wanted to let you know you are not alone in this and I know what a terrible feeling it is. I get the floating /surreal/dizzy feeling a lot and especially when I sm anxious and in situations like driving or in stores. Never had this before it started 3 years ago. I thought something must be really physically wrong with me.

And sometimes I still think that. But I've had so many tests, brain mri, everything, and they've found nothing do far. It gets so bad I have to hold onto to something, feel like I will fall or pass out. It's scarey and makes it really hard to go out.

I'm doing cognitive therapy and have been able to connect some of these episodes to a particularl stressor, but other times it just comes out of nowhere. I wish I had more answers for you but just wanted you to know I know how you feel.

We obviously can't turn back the clock and undo everything...but we can do a 180 in our outlook, and that is just what she would do when faced with a challenging day.

(Gawd I miss her...and her advice here.!)

I'm sorry you feel stuck, what makes you feel this way? and I am also sorry you feel handicapped, I know your gut is bothering you , is there anything else that is? I hope that you can feel better soon.

Megan, there has to be something better than this. This belief is what my faith revolves around. I still feel like there's too much junk food in my diet. It's not as bad as some junk, but it's still junk. I do get a serving of almonds a day and drink at least one cup of some kind of green tea. Last night, I made a quart of Kool-Aid with Stevia and not sugar. It's excellent. Sadly, I drank most of it already. I'm still not adding salt to anything. I walked last night, but not as far. I'm awfully sweaty and anxious today for some reason. haha. I'm just waiting for the Xanax to kick in. Thanks for thinking of me. I enjoy spice to a degree. I like Jalapeno Pringles, hot peanuts, and such. Those are tame enough for me. I don't enjoy my mouth and lips staying on fire.
