She is not just a pet

I know this is probably the wrong forum for this but I am so frustrated. I have a service dog in training that I am owner training. My mother not only insists I don't need one, today she was going on and on about how owner training is illegal and that I can get arrested all because my cousin works at a veterans home and said so. Most people don't bother with owner training because it takes a lot of time, commitment and energy that not a lot of people have. But it is so frustrating with the fact she won't listen to the reasons of why I need a service dog and the fact I can't just shut off my anxiety or PTSD.

I'm so sorry Pink that your mom is giving you a hard time. Try to ignore it and not let it get to you. I've never heard that training your own service dog is illegal, sounds like rubbish to me.

It is rubbish. A lot of people prefer to go through a program but isn't needed and I would have done that but that is thousands of dollars I don't exactly have lying around. Lol

Your dog kid, do it your way, this discussion should end when you choose for it to, your getting to much
input in a negative maner from people, "family", that at the least should know better, good luck, Peace
