a little break from the norm

Just wanted to share. I like to write sometimes. Just a short poem that's subtly about anxiety & the hopelessness it causes. But there is a little beam of positive at the end..i'll keep clawing at this disease until I feel my real self again! :)

Here I sit
counting my breaths
watching the night
through dirty windows.

Headlights dancing
casting life on empty walls
all I do is feel,
but never the right things.

Days on repeat
searching for new ways
fighting to stay awake
fighting to fall asleep.

I can't go back
does what I want exist?
So I keep clawing at it,
hoping that it feels me.
