If this came on really suddenly, you may want to go get your ears checked to rule out any infection.

Even with out pain or fever, you could have something going on...

I once had a middle ear infection and my only symptom was a low humming sound (and a thick-headed feeling) that came on suddenly.

If you are not in pain and have no fever, this could most likely wait until Tuesday, so as not to have to seek urgen care...

...but if you get either symptom, going in right away will be your best step.

I occasionally get a sudden ringing sound in my ears when trying to get to sleep. Doesn't happen often, and doesn't last very long either.

Are you taking any medication? It might be a side effect if so.
