Bit nervous dispensing relationship advice

Something a bit different than normal. One of my friends has been seeking my help as she wants a guy's perspective on how things are going between her and this guy she's been talking to.

Relationships have never been one of my areas of expertise, so I'm quite nervous that if things don't work out for her, I'm going to get the blame. It doesn't help that I don't know the guy she's talking to so I have no idea if he's one of those 'bad boy' types stringing her along or, like me, he's just a nice guy wanting to do right by people.

Just needed to vent.

If it were me I would try to be there for my friend but I would tell her I'm there to lessen to her not to give her at vise on someone I don't no. But I would be there to lessen if she needed.

Your friend is going to do what works for her regardless of what you say... Unless she is so weak minded that she needs someone to tell her what to do.....

Night, I think you need to express to her the exact same message you gave us here.

You don't know this guy, so you're in no position to advise her one way or the other. Tell her you'll be there as her friend no matter what, and that you wish her well. Just assure her that she has to be herself, and if this guy can't handle that, he isn't the guy for her.

Don't take too much of this onto yourself. It will backfire just like you suspect.

Everyone here is right. You could add you appreciate her confidence in you, but ultimately, it's not your relationship. It's hers.
