Daily Coping Tip # 6
Am I Thinking in Black and White?
Try to avoid falling into rigid thinking such as "I have felt down lately, and there's no end of it in sight."
There is always hope, and keeping our thinking open minded (and optimistic) helps us to see our way through to a positive resolution.
'Be
open to making lots of small changes to get back on curse for a happier life.' Says Alisa Frank, who uses hypnosis and positive-mind coaching to help her clients. 'A change might make things 1% better, then 10% and before you know it 50% better.'
Visualize yourself happy and relaxed, and if you're going through a rough patch, tell yourself, "I can get through this. I AM getting through it."
I struggle with an 'all or nothing' mentality at times...this has been a learning experience for me!
