Hello everybody!
I used to post here. I had been pretty much anxiety free for 10 months, until this past Thursday. I cut my finger and I needed some stiches, I went to my clinic and they took care of me, I also needed a tetanus booster.
about
10 minutes after I got the immunization I started feeling warm and a bit dizzy, suddenly in a matter of 2-3 seconds I couldn't breath, I felt this tickle in my throat I was gasping for air. I could feel adrenaline rushing to my body my chest was hurting for a couple seconds, felt very nauseous and like i needed to vomit, I couldn't stop coughing and I was very dizzy.
After about
1 hour I started feeling better. I didn't need epinephrine ( it's almost like my body knew what to do)
I had a mild reaction when eating kiwi ( I'm allergic to it) 2 years ago. ( tickle in my throat, coughing, pain when breathing).
I don't think it was a panic attack. I understand that panic attacks could change from time to time.
My "usual"panic attack symptoms had been the same.
- chills
- cold hands
- dizziness
- increased blood pressure 150-160 / 95 -100
-heart rate in the 110-120bpm range
- blurred vision
- fear
Thursday's "panic" attack
- difficulty breathing
- nausea
- vomit
- lightheaded
- coughing
- tickle in my throat
- pain in my chest, when breathing
- and the weirdest of all, my blood pressure was 128/76 with a heart rate of 92 about
7 minutes after I had my "panic " atack.
My primary care doctor thinks the immunization probably had something to do with it. He said it's possible to have allergic reactions that not always need a visit to the ER and then my panic mode kicked in.
What do you think?
Thank you for your time!
Josh
