I am having a panic attack right now.......

Im just freaking out, Im a 26 year old male.

I have been to the minor medical facility 2 weeks ago today, blood was fine, ekg was normal. Was given an amoxicillin shot for a suspected bladder infection and vistaril for my anxiety. Fast forward, now I have had a cold for a week almost, I feel a bit dizzy and even though I have taken two bowel movements today, my stomach is super tight and my back/butt hurts, especially the left buttock (like a pinch in the cheek) and also, radiating like pain where my kidney is. I am freaking out, I don't want to take the vistaril because I am already feeling bloated and uncomfy. and my back left shoulder has been super pain and achy! I literally feel like screaming!!

You are having an Anxiety attack, I recommend you take the vistrail. That is what they gave it to you for, to take for anxiety/panic attacks, so why sit there and suffer when you have something that has the potential of making you feel alittle better?

Besides just taking your benzo, try some deep breathing and maybe watch a mindfulness video. There is a short 3 minute one in our resources and a 12 minute one to help with body symptoms, which by the sounds of it would be good for you to watch. If you can't find it let me know and I'll post the direct link for you.

You have been through it these past couple of weeks!!

When we are ill, our anxiety is opportunistic and ramps up..;(

Know this is expected...and that you'll be feeling better all around soon .

Use all of your tools to manage the anxiety...and rest and recover.

Things will get better...just give yourself time to heal.:)

Sorry I'm new to this forum but do you usually suffer from kidney issues because your symptoms sound kidney related. Are you being treated for this?

I used to be the same way.. I am prescribed Xanax and every time Id have an anxiety attack I wouldn't take it. My mom, my dad, my husband, would say WHY ARE YOU SUFFERING this is why the dr gave you these meds. Which is so true. I used to be afraid of the making it worse (as weird as it seems,but its just the anxiety totally taking over!!!!). Now every time I feel anxious or I am having an attack I take the Xanax and feel 100 times better(just like right now just had a BAD one! now I feel so much better!!). Just know everytime you feel one coming on take your meds and you will be happy you did, why suffer? enjoy life, you only get one (-:
