I stumbled on a link to the letter while browsing another forum. What's ASMR?

ASMR stands for autonomous sensory meridian response which essentially refers to experiencing tingly sensations in your scalp/head/back/other parts of your body in response to auditory/visual/tactile triggers etc. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autonomous_sensory_meridian_response

The most common triggers are tapping, crinkling sounds. Have you ever experienced those unexplainable tingles on your scalp when you're getting your hair cut? Or when someone whispers in your ear?

ASMR will sound n feel weird to most people at first but once you get into it it's amazing. Apart from getting tingles many ppl watch ASMR videos to relax and destress as well. Its a tad similar to paying attention to sounds around you during mindfulness.

You can search Duff The Pysch ASMR on YouTube and its a channel belonging to the guy who wrote the letter above. He's a clinical psych and creates ASMR content too. My fav content creator is ParisASMR at the moment, you should def check that one out.

Have fun exploring this somewhat weird but cool relaxation method.
Rmb it's ok to not have tingles, just relax. :)
