slow heart rate lexapro

Is it common to have a slow heart rate while on lexapro? Mine is at 60, normally 75-93. 88 average lately. This happened while I was first starting up on Zoloft as well, one of the any reasons I stopped it. Both times, then and now, after I eat, I also feel as though my heart is racing/pounding, even though when I checked it was 84 bpm.

Hello mine is 39 with citalopram I think your heart rate verry good now.

Mel,

A HR of 60 is very good and normal. I have a resting one of anywhere between mid 40's up to the 70's...fluctuating according to circumstances. ..

I would not be concerned about this.rate of yours at all.:)

I can only wish mine was 60, that is an awesome HR. Like SC said it is nothing to stress about. :)

My heart rate dropped when I leveled out on Lexapro too.

I used to run around 104 to 120 just sitting on my couch. Now, it runs anywhere from 75 to 95 depending on the situation.

Wow Stacey, It is nice to know someone else who had a high resting HR, I wish I could get mine down but it won't budge. :( I'm glad yours is lower now.

When it drops below like 85, I get anxious. lol I know it's normal, but it is so much lower than I'm used to that it freaks me out a little.

Hi

A resting heart rate of 60bpm is good nothing to worry about and yes I think some AD can affect your heart rate but it's usually that they speed your heart rate up not decrease it.

My dr took me off the medicine, I had body tremors also on it.

I'm sorry, Melissuh. The body tremors aren't good.

I just started a new med that my doc wants me to watch for tremors as a side-effect. We both sort of laughed that I may not know it's the med.

I already have tremors in my right hand, but it's due to the nerve damage from my neck and shoulder problems.

Doc said, "Well, watch for the left hand tremors."

Are you going to start a new med? What is the next step for you? I hope there is a plan. ((hugs))
