I am sorry you are dealing with these physical symptoms and worries regarding them. I know how this feels, and it is no fun.
I am glad to hear that you have consulted your doctor regarding the issue, and it seems that after a physical exam, you were diagnosed as having an anxiety disorder?
Is this what the medication you were prescribed was for...anxiety management? When and why did you discontinue if you don't mind answering?
Have you ever tried any methods of anxiety management? Therapy or self help?
There are coping skills which could help you lower your overall stress levels, and therefore the physical symptoms.
You may also want to ask your doctor about
revisiting the idea of taking an Rx. Either an A/D, anti anxiety for acute episodes or possibly a beta blocker, which can stabilize heart racing or pounding issues.
