Hi all!

My husband went to court today and it's looking like he could be sent to prison on Tuesday!!
I am absolutely terrified!
I know it sounds selfish as my Husband is scared too!
I've never felt panic like this ever!!
We have never been apart in over 14 years and he is the only person who keeps me sane!
I have my 2 children, but my 3 yr old is autistic (recently diagnosed)
And I have my 11 month old,and it's gets real tough on both of us, so can't imagine what it would be like on my own!!
I have no other family and no friends either!!
I'm crying as I write this, I need support and I don't know where to turn!! 😥😥😥😥

Deep breaths. First of all, what does his attorney say? Is this a probable outcome, or is your worry getting the better of you?

I know this must be so stressful...but hopefully with good counsel all things will be worked out.

When will you know for sure one way or the other?

Tuesday is when he will be sentenced!
It's for common assault and theft!
He has 1 previous conviction for common assault that was a silly drunken scuffle when he was 26 he's 38 now.
And the solicitor said its not looking good.
He could get a suspended sentence but I think it's unlikely how the solicitor was speaking!
I don't know how I'm gonna cope. I feel sick to my stomach and I worry for my husband as he's already had 1 heart attack.
He's really sorry and remorseful, you can see it in his eyes!
I'm 35 years old and right now I feel like a scared little girl!
I wish I didn't suffer with anxiety it makes you feel 10 times worse! 😥

I am again so sorry...I know this must be very difficult.

I think your best course of action is be positive and hope for the best outcome....

...but prepare for what you will need to do in case things don't go in his favor.

Making a plan of action is going to be key in reducing your anxiety.

Neither of you can go back and change what happened, but you can work on securing things for any event and the future.

We've isolated ourselves from society and I'm scared that if I ever fainted or worse, no one would find my kids....it's that bad!!
My arrhythmia is getting quite bad again.
At the moment I feel suffocated, helpless, and can't see a way out!

Hi MSB

Sorry to hear of your current situation I hope you get a good outcome but as SC mentioned you have to plan for the worst.

If the outcome was that he is to be sent to prison I don't think he would get a long sentence and you usually only serve half your sentence in the UK.

Do you have any family which you can ask for help?

Is there any support groups in your area?

You could phone the autistic society as your son will be eligible for support and they also offer rest byte for parents so maybe worth checking into? I know this as I have Aspergers Syndrome.

I will keep my fingers crossed for you and hope you get a favourable outcome keep us posted and know that we will be here to support you so you don't have to go through this on your own ok.

Thanks for your reply!

No I haven't got any family at all!
Both my parents have died and so has my husbands, and we are both only children.
It's just been just us for quite a few years, we isolated ourselves due to all the grief we had to go through including the death of our first born son who died at 6 months.

The only support groups in my area are for just regular children and I'm sure I would get funny looks because of Jakob's behaviour even though it's not his fault! Bless him.

I will keep you posted as I don't think I can do this on my own.

I would definitely contact the Autistic Society and see what is available in your area.

I know things are tough at the moment but you can get through this try and stay positive and keep yourself busy.
