Status

Hey SC thanks for the continued support.

They checked my biliruben levels just once, my primary wanted to test them again in 3 months but my GI wants to go ahead and do the ultrasound because of my abdominal pains. My new glasses prescription helped a bit, along with keeping my eyes hydrated with drops. I get my newest eye glass prescription tomorrow. She's put a little more astigmatism correction in it, she told me we still have a ways to go before we can put me at my astigmatism correction level according to my topography. She said she was worried the big jump would make it harder for me to focus. If these new prescription lenses don't help in a month she wants to fit me for hard contacts. I'm hoping these new lenses help because I have problems with putting contacts in.
I've got a long way to go before I think I'll get my answers but I'm trying to take it one day at a time.
Still waking up with numb arms and hands at times, I'm wondering if I've got a pinched nerve in my neck that's causing that. Only able to get about 4 or 5 hours of sleep at a time unfortunately.
I'll keep updated on my condition and journey to recovery.

Update:
Got my new lenses today, I noticed a huge difference. I'm still having some ghosting problems, but they aren't nearly as bad as my last prescription. I'm thinking maybe this means this is all just my astigmatisms in play.
I also took one of my Tramadol pills today to help with some GI pain I've been experiencing all day. I took half (25mg) and I've noticed it has taken away quite a bit of the pain I've felt. I did look to Dr. Google and find that Tramadol and SSRI's don't play nice together though :(, so I may not continue to take it once I find an SSRI I am willing to commit to again. The countdown is getting closer and closer, just 19 long days until I have my new insurance. Still have quite a bit to do in terms of dealing with my old insurance and paying for things they didn't. But I am in a positive mindset. Hopefully I'll be able to get some answers soon.

So this has been a stressful day. Didn't get much sleep last night, I emailed my doc about switching to Lexapro since I didn't feel comfortable with taking Effexor. She emailed me this morning and urged me to come in, I was hesitant to and was going to put it off...until nature decided I needed to make a doctor's trip.
I was feeling really itchy last night and my right ear was hurting, it felt plugged up. Before I finally was able to get to sleep around 6am this morning I put some ear medication in that I had. Finally got to sleep. Well I woke up this morning and I felt like there was a buildup of wax coming out of my ear so I took the end of my pinky and went to scrap it away. Well low and behold on the end of my finger was a spider entombed in a bunch of ear wax and medicine. A SPIDER! Needless to say I was in high panic mode, nothing like that had ever happened before. I was so scared. I ended up calling the doctor and getting an appointment to go in. We talked about my depression and anxiety while I was there, she wants me to see a psychiatrist in addition to switching to lexapro. She also took a look at my ears and did a routine checkup on me (listening to heart/chest/lungs). No permanent damage in my ears, thankfully. She precribed me lexapro and some more of the stuff I had used last night. On my way to work she called me and told me that I would be unable to take Lexapro and Tramadol together because of the drug interactions (I hadn't mentioned that I had looked them up, just that I had been taking tamadol). The pharmacy then called to confirm that I was going to be getting these meds, the prices were horrendous. The Lexapro was near $80 and the ear medicine was close to $107. I told her the ear medicine would have to wait until my new insurance rolls in, and I bargained them into letting me have a 19 day supply of the Lexapro for $50. I'm going to pick it up tomorrow. What a strange day to experience on four hours of sleep. Not to mention it rained all day so now my sinuses are terrible, I've had a radiating headache all day :(. 19 more days until my new insurance.

Quick catch up:
Only 15 more days until I've got insurance again, it's both a relief and a stressor. I started generic lexapro 10mg Saturday night, haven't noticed too many changes just yet. A little more anxious but I'm not sure that is because of the meds. Still not getting a huge amount of sleep.
Feeling weird sensations such as tingling and numbness st my extremities and a muscle weakness.

It's more or less just the waiting for it to come in, I'm stressing out because I think something is going to happen before I get the insurance and I'm going to be out of pocket a lot of money..
