I think you outlined some very good reasons not to continue working there. You asked to only work 15 hours and made that aware when you were hired, they chose to ignore that and give you 30 hours. You were scheduled so that you felt unsafe to take the train home at night, and had to pay for a cab. That's a very expensive commute to make. I don't think you'll have to worry about them calling the police to find you, most workplaces will move on business as usual if someone they newly hired doesn't show up. You also sent an email to the general manager, who probably has the email setup with their phone so that they can receive notifications about the business they are in charge of. Managers don't really have days off like that. The important thing for you to do at this point is focus on your schoolwork. You worked there for two weeks so I wouldn't bother putting it on your resume. All in all I wouldn't bother yourself over it. I think you did the right thing.
