Weird feeling in the pit of my stomach...

My anxiety seems to keep giving me this weird feeling of doom or some kind of insanity in the pit of my stomach... it feels like I'm on the verge of going crazy!!! Is this normal??? I have been on 50 mg of Zoloft for the past 6 weeks...
Has anyone else ever feel like this???
A feeling of lost, fear, dizzy, doom, etc...

Oh yeah...I have felt like this many times...no fun! :/

Use your coping skills...

...and remember that these feelings cant harm you, or mean that anything bad is going to happen...

...it's just an anxiety effect, and it will pass.

We are here with wishes for feeling calm and relaxed soon.

Hi GG

Yes I have felt that way many times and currently feeling like that and as SC said it's no fun.

The Zoloft should be starting to kick in now it can take anywhere between 6-8 weeks to see the full benefits so stick with it if you can. If things don't start improving I would go back to your doctor as you may need an increase in dosage.

In the meantime use all the coping skills you have to help reduce your anxiety we have some good links in our resources so take a look.

I'm sorry you are feeling this. It's awful.

Like SC & Hibee said, just use those coping skills. I use positive mantras most.

I tell myself over and over. "You have felt this before. Nothing bad happened then, and it won't now."

It helps to find a distraction too. Even taking out your frustrations on house cleaning is helpful.

thank you everyone it's getting harder and harder to deal with. I never had this feeling with any other SSRI. I think I'm going to get paxil another shot and if it doesn't work maybe my system just doesn't take 2 SSRIs
